POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Gouin-Langelier Complex is currently seeking an empathetic Resident Care Attendant who is dedicated to the well-being of residents.
The Resident Care Attendant ensures the comfort, well-being, safety, and general needs of residents by providing hygiene and comfort care.
Permanent part-time position, 24 hours per week (3 days per week) evenings from 4pm to midnight and one weekend out of two.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to standards and legislation in accordance with private seniors' home certification and the code of ethics
- Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
- Answering call bells
- Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
- Assisting with resident nutrition including feeding residents and providing resident support
- Delivering messages to the nursing staff
- In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
- Proactively assist and support the residents
- Respond to all emergency situations
- PDSB training
- Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
- Law 90 training
- Minimum 2-3 years experience as a PAB
- Knowledge of senior living residences is a major asset.
