POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking a Patient Care Attendant for a permanent part-time position, between 15 and 20 hours per week, evenings from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and one weekend out of two. Evening shift premium and COVID-19 premium apply.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- All other related tasks
- Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
- Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
- Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
- In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
- Proactively assist and support the residents
- Respond to all emergency situations
- While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.
- Law 90 training
- PDSB training
- Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years experience
- Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
- Diploma of vocational studies (DVS)
