Le St-Patrick is a private seniors' residence located in Upper Town Quebec City, two blocks from the Plains of Abraham. We are looking for two people to fill night care attendant positions (under Law 90). Stable schedule. Free indoor parking. ***Candidates must hold a DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Care Assistance or a RAC (Recognition of Acquired Competencies) certificate, or have accumulated 5,000 hours of experience in the last 5 years as a Personal Care Attendant + current 16-hour CPR certification + completed PDSP (Patient Care and Support Program).***
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Schedule A: Part-time position, 6/14 night shifts
Schedule B: Full-time position, 10/14 night shifts
Salary: Starting at $20.25 per hour, based on experience + $1 night shift premium
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Comply with standards and regulations in accordance with the certification of private seniors' residences and employer policies
- Provide a range of health and hygiene care while respecting the integrity and dignity of residents, in collaboration with the team
- Respect and promote proactive care among residents
- Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
- Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
- Respond to all emergency situations
- While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.
- Up-to-date CPR/AED general first aid training
- PDSP Training
- AP/RPA or DEP training in assistance to people in establishments and at home
