POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Located in Laval, the Domaine des Forges residence offers a friendly and stimulating work environment. We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled maintenance worker for a permanent part-time position, 16 hours per week, weekends only, daytime hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- All other related tasks
- Be available to respond to emergencies
- Change light bulbs in the common areas
- Communicate the maintenance needs for materials and products and upkeep of the building to the immediate superior
- Make service calls
- Minor repairs in apartments and common areas (plaster, paint, change lights, various installations, etc.)
- Organise or perform all other related tasks regarding the maintenance department, as required and as requested by the immediate superior
- Preventive maintenance on equipment
- Sweep and clean the floors of the corridors, common areas and workstations of the building
- 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
- Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and minor repairs
- Professional training in general building maintenance (an asset)
