POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Les Jardins Vaudreuil, a welcoming private seniors' residence, has a Head Chef position available! Working in a residence is more than just a job; it's a life experience. We are currently seeking a Head Chef for a permanent, full-time position (40 hours/week).

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct daily inspections of work areas and ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, health and safety standards at work.
- Develop the menus for the R.P.A., the à la carte menus, and other special menus.
- Ensure customer satisfaction during and after service delivery and handle complaints, if necessary.
- Establish, implement and enforce kitchen and company policies and procedures
- Managing the financial resources (budget preparation, operating cost control, etc.) and material resources (inventory management, supplies, etc.) allocated to his/her department
- Managing the human resources of one's department (recruiting staff, training, work allocation, scheduling, performance evaluation, conflict management, etc.)
- Oversee requisitions and orders for food, equipment, tableware and household products
- Supervise all kitchen activities (cleanliness of kitchens and equipment, handling of appliances and food, compliance with quality standards and food freshness, etc.)
- Work in coordination with other departments within the institution and participate in management committee meetings
- Assemble plates of food
- Perform meal preparation while supervising and mobilizing staff in the kitchen
- Perform other related duties

- Training certification (MAPAQ)
- Basic computer skills
- A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in institutional cuisine or equivelent
- At lease 3 to 5 years of experience in a large restoration's volume
- Experience in personnel management
- Proficiency in using computer tools
