POSITION DESCRIPTION:
In a context of continued growth, we are seeking a Director of Asset Maintenance to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing asset maintenance priorities for all buildings under their supervision. This individual will plan capital investment budgets (annual and five-year) and oversee a team of project managers to ensure the successful completion of assigned initiatives. In addition to ensuring the full execution of assigned projects, the Director will provide internal technical support to various teams within the organization.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborating with other department heads to establish operational priorities for the buildings under management
- Communicate with subcontractors, analyze bids, and present your recommendations.
- Negotiate and ensure the preparation of contractual documents with contractors
- Oversee the planning, design and construction of asset maintenance projects in collaboration with existing teams at the properties, including coordination with subcontractors, engineers and architects.
- Plan and implement annual and five-year budgets for asset maintenance investments and ensure the management of resources required for project completion
- Provide your recommendations regarding the solutions to be implemented and ensure follow-up
- Providing outstanding customer service at all levels
- Providing technical support to building operations staff
- Supervise and mentor the project managers in your team
- To monitor the progress of the work and the necessary administrative follow-ups, often within a tight timeframe.
- To plan, direct, and monitor the implementation of simple or complex projects, from preliminary studies to final delivery, ensuring the proper maintenance of the real estate assets under their supervision.
- Hold a university degree in engineering, architecture, environmental design, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Knowledge of the building code
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project
