POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Located in the heart of Marieville, Les Jardins du Couvent residence is fortunate to welcome a wonderful clientele, both independent and those experiencing a loss of autonomy. The Dining Room Supervisor plans and directs all dining room service activities. They ensure the smooth operation of meal service, manage the staff involved, and maintain exceptional customer service. This is a permanent, full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and one weekend out of two, with daytime shifts from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate in the safety of residents and staff by ensuring compliance with health and safety standards in the dining room
- Collaborate with kitchen employees to ensure good teamwork
- Contribute and ensure the maintenance of the cleanliness of the dining room by taking on some household chores, in collaboration with the whole team
- Coordinate, supervise and establish the schedules of the dining room staff (waiters).
- Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, sanitation and safety rules in the dining room.
- Ensure the training and integration of new employees.
- Greet residents in the dining room and ensure their comfort
- Managing inventory, setting up the dining room, and assigning seats for residents
- Managing the dining room team
- Participate in table service with your team of waiters
- Present the daily menus, the à la carte menu and answer residents' questions about food and cooking, in collaboration with colleagues in the kitchen
- Take care of the cleanliness of equipment and workspaces
- To ensure a warm, welcoming atmosphere and high-quality service at the tables.
- Experience in personnel management
- knowledge of a Maitre D's responsibilities (an asset)
- At lease 3 to 5 years of experience in restoration
- Knowledge of senior living residences is a major asset.
