The Administrative Technician in charge of scheduling supports the department by coordinating clinical and non-clinical schedules, managing employee replacements and absences, and maintaining scheduling systems and records. They ensure accurate scheduling, effective communication, and continuity of operations. Specific tasks include:
  • Preparing and publishing four-week schedules
  • Coordinating staff replacements and recall lists
  • Processing approved vacation, holiday, and personal-day requests
  • Updating schedules, templates, and employee contact information
  • Maintaining on-call calendars
  • Supporting staff and managers with scheduling needs
  • Finding solutions to complex scheduling situations

Requested skills

  • DEC in General Administration, Accounting, Management Techniques, or Office Automation, or another relevant college discipline. An AEC of 800+ hours with relevant experience, or a DEC combined with a relevant university certificate, may also qualify.
  • Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
  • Good knowledge of online and computerized systems.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Two years of experience in a related field, an asset.
