The Institute for Mental Health Policy Research, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), is seeking a full -time, contract (until March 31, 2026) Research Analyst to work collaboratively as part of a team of researchers in the Driving Simulator Lab (DSL), to review and summarize relevant literature and provide support for ongoing participant-facing research. The DSL is comprised of a team of Scientists aimed at better understanding the means by which impaired driving can be detected and deterred. The responsibilities of the Research Analyst will include conducting literature reviews, assisting with the development of scientific papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals as well as policy reports; the successful candidate will also assist in the drafting and submission of grant proposals. The Research Analyst will also conduct interviews with participants, take informed consent, operate the driving simulator, administer cognitive and other tests as well as other related activities to support ongoing research studies. The Research Analyst may also support research activities involving community based research and liaise with community representatives and the research team; and working with the research team in the development and implementation of knowledge exchange activities. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelors degree in a relevant field with one (1) years’ of research related experience. Experience with substance use, especially cannabis use, is an asset. Must have demonstrated experience and knowledge of research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative), process of conducting literature searches, and must have good writing skills. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are essential. Candidates will also have demonstrated literature review and synthesis skills, including systematic, and scoping review experience. Must have experience with endnote or similar reference management tool. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Candidates require the ability to work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Must have a valid driver’s license and driving experience. Experience with the driving simulator and administration of cognitive tasks is preferred.
