The CAMH Simulation Centre is currently seeking a full-time, contract (1 year) Project Coordinator (Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator) to support the development and delivery of virtual simulation learning and experiences for health care professionals, general public, patients & families, and other audiences. This includes online learning programs like e-learning courses/tutorials, webinars, user guides, web-based resources that include virtual and digital simulation components, with an emphasis on embedding best practices for evidence-based Education delivery and accessibility requirements.
Reporting to the Manager of CAMH Simulation Centre, with a dotted line reporting to the Manager, Digital Innovation, the Project Coordinator (LMS Administrator) will be responsible for the configuration, testing, maintenance, and support of the CAMH Simulation Centre hosted LMS platforms, ensuring they meet the needs of our organization and provide an optimal learning experience for users. You will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen ability to collaborate with various departments and vendors to enhance the delivery of training and development programs. You will actively seek out and stay informed about emerging trends in learning platforms such as integration of AI and virtual technologies to create immersive and personalized learning experiences.
The Project Coordinator (LMS Administrator) will oversee the day-to-day operations of Simulation Centre online platforms including user management, course setup, and system maintenance. You will work closely with the CAMH digital innovation team, IT/development teams, and vendors to coordinate system upgrades, feature implementations, and integrations where needed. You will ensure the LMS platforms adhere to relevant data protection & privacy regulations and are functioning with minimal downtime & efficient performance. They will provide technical support to end-users by troubleshooting and answering inquiries. They will generate and analyze reports related to user activity, course completion, and system usage. The ideal candidate will provide insights and recommendations based on data to improve LMS effectiveness and user engagement.
The Project Coordinator (LMS Administrator) will collaborate with UI/UX designers and subject matter experts to ensure the LMS platforms are intuitive, user-friendly, and accessible. They will work closely with content developers to develop online educational offerings, configure assessment tools (e.g., quizzes, surveys) and create learning objects in multiple formats including HTML5, H5P and SCORM. They will upload and organize training content & resources and ensure that all content is accessible and aligned with organizational training goals. You will maintain documentation, develop training materials/user guides and deliver sessions to educate users on LMS functionalities and best practices.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Educational Technology, or related field and three years of experience in the development and delivery of e-learning and web-based resources. Advanced experience with learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Absorb, Docebo) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., H5P, Articulate Storyline, Rise 360) is essential. The role requires strong full-stack development expertise, including front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and Bootstrap, modern frameworks (React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS), and back-end development using PHP and/or Python, along with API integration and database management (SQL and NoSQL). A solid understanding of SCORM standards, WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines, and UI/UX best practices for digital learning environments is expected, with familiarity with xAPI and Learning Record Stores (LRS) considered an asset.
Strong capability in data analysis and data-driven decision-making, including the use of learner and system data to inform platform optimization, analytics, and reporting. Strong familiarity with emerging AI technologies, including AI-powered integrated development environments (IDEs), and hands-on experience designing, developing, or integrating AI-enabled solutions into online education programs is required.
Experience with cloud-based services (e.g., Microsoft Azure) to support and scale LMS and application infrastructure is an asset, as is experience with VR development tools (e.g., Unity) and the creation of interactive or immersive learning experiences. Additional assets include experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop), content management systems (e.g., SharePoint), project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana), cloud-based storage platforms (e.g., OneDrive, Dropbox), and screen-recording tools (e.g., Camtasia).
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent organizational and time-management skills, and sound professional judgment. They must be adaptable, collaborative, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. They must be able to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
