Senior Completions & Well Servicing Engineer

About this opportunity:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Thermal Engineering, the Senior Completions & Well Servicing Engineer will lead planning activities for completions and well servicing operations, with a focus on SAGD wells. This role is responsible for driving technical excellence in design, cost estimating, program development, KPI tracking, and post-operation evaluations.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and implement strategies to improve completions and well servicing performance while reducing costs

• Ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, safety, and environmental standards

• Design and execute completions and well servicing programs

• Manage budgets and track cost, performance, and cycle-time efficiencies

• Analyze operations through benchmarking and identify improvement opportunities

• Support well integrity, including troubleshooting and ensuring proper isolation and abandonment

• Collaborate with field, drilling, and production teams to optimize the well lifecycle value

• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across completions activities

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

• Legal authorization to work in Canada

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering; Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing with APEGA

• Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in SAGD/heavy oil completions and well servicing

• Demonstrated proficiency with Wellview

• Experience in production or drilling engineering is high valued additional experience for consideration for this role.
