About this opportunity:

The Business Solutions team oversees the support of the Cenovus Land and Well Management Ecosystem, encompassing applications, integrations, business process analysis, data analytics and corporate reporting for land and well data.

This Business Solutions analyst will focus on operational system administration, configuration, support, governance, and user enablement. Involving close collaboration with business users, IT teams, and application vendors to provide technical support, deliver effective solutions, and enhance the performance of applications and data within the Land and Well Management Ecosystem.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide system administration, provisioning, governance, and application support, including issue resolution, optimization, configuration, QA testing, UAT coordination, and integration monitoring.

  • Collaborate and engage with vendor support teams, release notes, issue management, enhancement requests and status updates.

  • Coordinate, communication, system training & documentation.

  • Create and maintain relationships with various business users, IT teams, and software vendors to identify requirements and provide solution recommendations.

  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to team members, tailoring messaging to ensure understanding. Facilitate meetings, get results, and support effective outcomes across diverse partner groups.

  • Provide, configure and build standard reporting across systems.

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Minimum 5 years progressive oil and gas experience

  • Post-secondary education in petroleum, computer science, business, business analysis or a combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with Business Analysis techniques inclusive of requirements gathering, validation, testing, facilitation, change management, process, and data modeling.

  • Experience in Land and Well software applications such as WellView, SiteView.

  • Experience with reporting Software (Power BI, Business Objects, Spotfire) and Visio.

  • Experience with Generwell, Execute, CS Land, LandView, Pandell Roads and StackDX would be an asset.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in application support, business process analysis, and/or project management with recent experience in vendor hosted applications is considered an asset.
