Job description:

You will be pursuing and managing the IT & Telco Americas Bid Support in a real transversal and multi-cultural environment, working closely with your peers globally.

You will be focusing on reinforcement of intimacy with business, providing governance, developing and implementing new processes and supporting tools.

You will build and improve relationships with key stakeholders at VP level within the Delivery teams.

You will be involved on complex bids to support with coordination. Interaction with Business Leaders and Vendors is required at senior level and therefore you must be confident and comfortable interacting at all levels.

You will be playing a coordinator role on several topics such as optimization of contract renewal, budget inputs and managing a ‘bid tracker’ with the Procurement Buyers the respective businesses.

You will be working with the IT & Telco procurement team, Americas regional procurement team, other Regional managers, remote back offices located in Guatemala, main U.S. stakeholders which may mean the need for mobility and flexibility. You will report to the Americas IT & Telco Procurement Category Director based in Toronto.

Key responsibilities:

Leading, guiding and implementing Procurement / Organizational/ Coordination projects in ITT Americas. Delivering against agreed timescales and outcomes.

  • Improving and developing procurement specific processes and tools aligned with our global approach.
  • Aligning with the strategy and objectives of the Americas Business Leaders and both Regional & Global Procurement, ensuring Group standards, policies, practices and processes are adhered to.
  • Helping the ITT procurement team to find the best added-value and support possible for the businesses.
  • Gathering and analysing procurement related data, creating and maintaining reports and management presentations.
  • Industrialization and digitalisation of Americas Bid Support through 4 main axes: Processes, Tools, Governance and Communication.

To be shared and extended towards other procurement domains when applicable.

  • SPOC on top 10 U.S. accounts (Key Logos):
  • Main point of contact for the Sales/ Bid Support / Delivery stakeholders on bids and project.
  • IT&T procurement coordinator of Americas bids & projects: regular interaction with the whole ITT procurement staff, also some account executives, as well as working in close conjunction with finance and commercial.
  • Contribute to strengthen the Americas Procurement business intimacy with sales, strategic partnership stakeholders, etc….
  • Back-up for the Americas IT & Telco Category Director in his/her absence or when requested to do so.
Required Skills

We are looking for someone with over. 7 years of experience in IT and Telco sourcing, procurement and bid management with :

  • Excellent project management and leadership skills
  • Very confident communication and networking skills and is able to work effectively both as an individual or as part of a team in a matrix and multicultural environment.
  • Good problem-solving skills and can-do attitude
  • Good negotiation skills – knowledge of strategies and approaches.
  • Can adapt to fast changing schedules and priorities
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a highly pressurized environment
  • Contract knowledge – e.g., implementing, reviewing, flow downs, contract changes, novations, terminations
  • Financial and commercial understanding
  • Strong influencing skills to use both a facilitative and directive approach to “sell” method to internal clients and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written in English.
  • A previous background in outsourcing or outsourcing organizations will be a must.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of cost impacts and basic accounting treatment
