THE ROLENon-Public Property Accounting Manager plans, organizes, and manages the delivery of base accounting services and programs. They provide advice and interpretation on Non-Public Funds (NPF) accounting and Non-Public Property (NPP) administrative policies to managers and senior military officers. They notify and report any unusual trends/activities to senior managers for further investigation.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Finance, Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field AND several years of experience in accounting, or a related field
AND
Accounting designation such as Certified General Accountant (CGA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Chartered Accountant (CA), an asset
Experience
In planning, organizing, and delivering accounting services
In providing finance and accounting related advice
In applying and interpreting policies, procedures and provincial/federal legislation
In personnel administration
In budget administration
In planning and conducting presentations
In the preparation of financial statements and analysis
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
