Transportation Team Lead, PA&A

The Team Lead North America Transportation Operations plays a key role by providing direct support to the Parts, Accessories & Apparel Transportation Department. They will function as a hands-on leader who will drive operational excellence within the PA&A vertical at BRP. This position requires a decisive and results oriented leader who fully utilizes both technical skills and teamwork to influence and motivate change and meet the departmental goals and objectives.


YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Supervise and support the transportation team on day to day issues and act as main escalation point for the transportation team and other internal departments

  • Resolve various problems, claims and related complaints and implement corrective measures and process improvements for internal departments and external customers

  • Optimize North American regional transportation network and footprint with a proper strategy;

  • Adapt operation practices to new growth levers like B2C, D2C and other global initiatives

  • Strategically work with our vendors and suppliers to optimize network efficiency;

  • Promote continuous improvement mindset to support the lean pillar of BRP’s mission;

  • Stay connected with industry trends in supply chain.

  • Ensure budget/forecasts are met and implement cost mitigation strategies when needed;

  • Track standard KPIs across all regions and sites including Service Level Agreement with vendors and suppliers;

  • Participate in a global governance mechanism connecting all PA&A operations leaders worldwide;

  • Monitor vendor and supplier performance against contractual requirements and make proper adjustments where required;

  • Support the NA Distribution centers and production facilities on transportation needs and requirements

  • Prepare and host quarterly business reviews with suppliers and vendors

  • Prepare RFP/RFQ's and support internal procurement colleagues and assist in analysis and selection and implementation

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor in Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering or in a relevant field

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain management in similar industries (automotive, consumer goods, service parts, etc)

  • Lead significant supply chain optimization projects and associated system implementation

  • Good knowledge of SAP

  • Clear customer focus mindset seeing the PA&A Supply Chain as a key enabler of differentiation;

  • Recognized ability to operationalize the strategic plan with a laser focus, in order to achieve the desired company profitability goals;

  • Capable of efficiently communicating and promoting your ideas to different levels of the organization including top executives;

  • Strong human and financial management skills;

  • Confirmed team player, always searching for innovative ideas to increase the top-line (passionate about growth as much as optimizing the costs) and to surpass customer service promise;

  • Viewed as a strong & passionate leader with a focus on people, organizational development, relationship building and change management;

  • Organized and analytical, focused on process improvement and maximizing systems capabilities;

  • Known to have strong governance including BSC and KPI management that tie back into the strategic planning cycle;

  • Recognized ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions.
