YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Manage a truly global brand day to day with a small team of social specialists, taking into account the necessary nuances required to work in multiple global regions.

  • Work with a best-in-class powersport ambassador network to create content and an intertwined online social presence.

  • Work with like-minded, powersport-obsessed individuals on the ORV marketing team, including the Global Brand team, ambassadors, PR, paid media, web, CRM, retail network, etc.

  • Be part of and activate major powersport launches and sponsorships, and be involved in major brand moments (including off-road racing).

  • Identify, listen, and implement strategies to activate online community leaders, influencers, and powersport communities with support from the community management agency.

  • Stay abreast of evolving social and industry trends, best practices, and tools for social media, and be able to educate the broader team where appropriate.

  • Monitor competitors and analyze opportunities and threats for Can-Am.

  • Collaborate with the lead creative agency to ensure major brand shoots and creative are built in a way that will lead to engaging social assets.

  • Collaborate with other social brand leads at BRP (Sea Doo, Ski Doo, Can-Am On-Road).

  • Be in charge of ORV social media properties and a super admin on all tools and properties.

  • Work closely with external social partners like YouTube, Meta, etc.

  • Monitor, evaluate, and constantly optimize the health of current social media channels and turn learned trends and observations into actionable insights.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A passionate, customer-obsessed mindset with a strong understanding of the fast-changing social media landscape, particularly how it relates to American Elder Millennial and Gen X cohorts.

  • You understand that social never sleeps and are quick to jump on fast-moving trends or opportunities that may not be relevant even a few hours later.

  • 7+ years of experience in social media.

  • Open to navigate a structured corporate work environment while striving to output in a socially powerful way.

  • Experience in a global organization or agency would be a strong plus.

  • You are an unbiased and inspired content creator, sharp curator, and strategic comms expert with strong news judgment and a knack for sourcing the best.

  • You perceive working and educating people in the organization without a strong social background as an opportunity and a challenge, not a drawback.

  • Openness to collaboration and differing opinions and the willingness to chart a path forward that works for everyone.

  • Highly detailed and organized; project management experience would be a plus.

  • Strong connections and networks in the social creation space, as well as with social platforms directly would be a plus.

  • An understanding that corporate process is a necessary evil, and the ability to work within it.

  • Both a strategic thinker and a tactical executor with a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset.

  • A data geek who leverages meaningful metrics (and throws away what doesn’t matter) to craft insights that can fuel future content plans and programs.

  • Experience with vendor and agency management.

  • Experience leading people would be an important asset.

  • Calm, cool, and collected in high-pressure situations.
