Description
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Technician, Helmets, to join a small team that is redefining the future of helmets and protective equipment for all BRP playgrounds at our Sherbrooke office. You will have the opportunity to test both our helmets in development and those of competitors across all BRP product lines.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Work in the creative field of helmet and protective gear development.
Innovate and influence technical trends within the field of helmets.
Oversee the design of one or more helmet families from inception to the conclusion of the development process.
Participate in defining the mechanical architecture of helmet families.
Create and/or oversee the 3D design of various helmet components.
Ensure the production of prototypes and their quality level.
Assist the engineer responsible with testing helmets under real-use conditions.
Collaborate in the production launch process and problem resolution.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in mechanical engineering, with a focus on design, or relevant experience in design.
5 years of experience in product development.
A keen sense of mechanics and aesthetics, accompanied by excellent 3D visualization capabilities.
Proficiency with software like Catia V5 or Fusion.
Self-reliance and independence.
Optimism and adaptability.
The ability to find creative solutions to problems encountered.
An excellent collaborator and outstanding team player.
Enthusiasm for BRP recreational products.
