Description
We are looking for a technician or technologist for our test equipment loan room at our research centre. In this role, you will have the opportunity to advise our clients and be responsible for the proper functioning and calibration of precision instruments. You will also support our technicians during tests on sub-assemblies or vehicles of our various products.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Ensure that equipment and instruments are calibrated according to the schedules.
Provide advisory services to engineering teams regarding test instrumentation.
Manufacture and repair various types of cables.
Verify the proper functioning of various sensors using calibration tools to ensure they operate correctly (pressure sensor, accelerometer, force sensor, etc.).
Conduct certain tests to support laboratory technicians.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A diploma of vocational studies (DVS) in electromechanics or diploma of college studies (DCS) in mechanical, electrical or electrotechnical engineering, or the equivalent.
Fluency in French and English to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec or unilingual English on a daily basis
Experience in electronics implementation, equipment calibration, cable design, supplier communication, and knowledge of data acquisition systems (an asset).
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Initiative, autonomy, structure, and attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
