The role of Supervisor is a critical one at BRP where you will be able to demonstrate your talent for mobilizing and engaging your employees. YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Take ownership of your sector on both a human and operational level.
- Position yourself as a leader within your team to meet the objectives of the sector.
- Support and engage your team in continuous improvement.
- Communicate and explain the job and expectations to team members on a regular basis in order to achieve the established performance objectives in terms of occupational health and safety, quality, productivity, employee development and cost management, and inform management of any critical issues.
- Act as a role model and coach by encouraging teamwork, innovation, development, and the independence of the teams working in a safe environment where communication is valued.
- Encourage good working relationships in partnership with the human resources team and the Labor Relations Committee while also ensuring that policies are applied.
- Lead and support a team committed to and involved in continuous improvement and the elimination of waste while referring to the relevant stakeholders when necessary.
- Analyze, identify causes of and provide solutions to health and safety non-compliance and risks while mobilizing the team in the search for innovative and sustainable solutions.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience;
- Excellent communication skills and a team player
- Ability to influence and mobilize others;
- Ability to analyze and resolve logistics issues in production;
- Ability to delegate and build a team;
- Good interpersonal skills and good ability to work with a partnership approach (human resources/LRC/Management);
- Good organizational skills, good management of priorities and sense of initiative;
- Good knowledge of logistics systems;
- Ability to communicate in French, both orally and in writing;
- Knowledge of software: Word, Excel and SAP;
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS
- Available to work day and evening shifts;
- Evening shift on a 4-day work schedule;
- Follow the production schedule, so between 5 and 20 Fridays not worked; ∙ Possibility of joining our industrial management cohort in collaboration with Granby CEGEP, giving the opportunity to acquire an AEC;
- Evening bonus of $19/shift;
