Global Transportation Coordinator

The Global Transportation Coordinator plays a key role by providing direct support on day to day activities to the PA&A Transportation Department for the Global supply chain. They will function as a hands-on coordinator who will drive operational excellence within the PA&A vertical at BRP. This position requires a strong multi-tasker, decisive and results oriented individual who fully utilizes both technical and soft skills and teamwork and communication to influence and motivate change and meet the departmental goals and objectives.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • A central point of contact on day to day activities and support the transportation team for all operational transportation activities within the global supply chain

  • Resolve various problems, related to the operations of the global supply chain and collaborate with internal departments to address transportation issues related to internal or external customers by root cause analysis and corrective actions and a proactive approach

  • Collaborate with our vendors and suppliers to optimize network efficiency and ensure collaboration across the impacted departments to ensure optimal performance in our global supply chain

  • Plan and coordinate both daily shipments as well as spot quote movements within the whole Global supply chain

  • Ensure timely schedules are met with all the vendors in the Global supply chain

  • Promote continuous improvement mindset to support the lean pillar of BRP’s mission;

  • Maintain and support the organized records, files and other essential documentation related to Global Transportation department

  • Ensure to monitor freight spend on spot quotes and freight invoices through monthly vendor reports and other related KPI's,and invoices to align with our budget/forecasts and support and help implement cost mitigation strategies given by management

  • Support the Global Distribution centers and production facilities on transportation needs and requirements on a daily basis and ad-hoc requests

  • Track and Trace all shipments to ensure OTD at the best of our abilities within the Global supply chain

  • Address dealer cases and conduct root cause analysis and corrective measures to mitigate any risk and dealer impact

  • Address and process claims for all transportation related issues and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • College Education in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply chain or in a relevant field

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain operations (automotive, consumer goods, service parts, etc)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good knowledge of SAP, TMS, Excel and other related internal systems

  • Clear customer focus mindset seeing the PA&A Supply Chain as a key enabler of differentiation;

  • Recognized ability to be a multitasker, prioritizing workloads and keeping information organized and shared. Out of the box thinker who embraces change and new ideas

  • Capable of efficiently communicating within the internal partners and external vendors and strong written and verbal skills, vital for interacting with various stakeholders

  • Confirmed team player, always searching through collaboration between internal stakeholders with innovative ideas to help increase the top-line (passionate about collaboration as much as optimizing the costs)

  • Organized and analytical, focused on process improvement and maximizing systems capabilities;

  • Recognized ability to solve problems, make decisions and overly communicate within the team , as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions.

This position is based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu with a 50% on site presence requirement.
