Financial Analyst, I&T, PMO

As a Financial Analyst in the I&T Finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to the Infrastructure/Operations teams and certain Centres of Excellence. Working in partnership with the Managers, you will be responsible for rigorously monitoring the operating and project costs of the departments for which you are responsible, as well as assisting them with various ad hoc analyses.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Ensure regular financial monitoring (monthly) and analysis of departmental operating costs.
  • Serve as the point of contact for financial matters related to resource costs and cost allocations to projects
  • Perform month-end tasks (commitments, journal entries) and prepare forecasts/budgets
  • Update resource budgets/forecasts and perform related analyses
  • Consolidate recurring project costs that impact operations
  • Support project, program, and IT business unit managers with various financial analyses
  • Support teams in analyzing their cost center expenditures
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, task automation, and the growing use of PowerBI within the function
  • Participate in the preparation and updating of management reports for the various teams supported
  • Perform certain internal controls (SOX) related to project monitoring

 

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting/Finance).
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience relevant to the position.
  • Good knowledge of English.
  • CPA designation would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
  • Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to work in a team.
  • The willingness to strive for continuous improvement in the performance of your duties.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Autonomy.
