Electrical Project Engineer, SEA-DOO

We are looking for a Sea-Doo Electrical Project Engineer reporting to the Team Leader, Sea-Doo R&D Electrical Integrators, your main mandate will be to lead the design, development and validation of electrical systems and mechatronic functions of a powersport product line.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Develop the vehicle electrical and functional architecture and mechatronic functions.

  • Write technical requirement documents for the development of electric parts, mechatronic systems and software by internal and external suppliers.

  • Coordinate the assembly, diagnosis and validation of prototype vehicles in the workshop.

  • Upload the software into various control module and calibrate the vehicle mechatronic functions, in the workshop and on water.

  • Develop and execute test plans required to validate the technical solutions while taking into account established norms and standards.

  • Guide the work of technicians and mechanics in order to meet development objectives.

  • Participate in the start of production on the assembly line, resolve problems from the network and follow up with suppliers.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering or equivalent.

  • Good understanding and ability to integrate electrical, electronic, software and mechanical principles together.

  • Ease of reading electrical diagrams and Simulink programs.

  • Knowledge of CAN BUS networks.

  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and ability to innovate.

  • Ability to communicate in French and in English with internal and external stakeholders outside of Quebec or unilingual English speakers on a daily basis;

  • Manual and motor dexterity to perform electrical repairs and physical tests on the water.
