Description
We are looking for a Crate Designer to develop crates and strategies to protect vehicles during transport. You will have a leading role in improving the quality of the crates, innovate during the conception of new products and in turn influence the quality of the delivered product. You will collaborate with engineers, the logistic team, production and many others.
As part of your role, you’ll be significantly contributing to the organization's growth. You’ll be at the forefront of bringing a wide range of new talent to BRP.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Participate actively in the design and conception of the crate structure and of its components.
Participate in the exchanges and at the search for innovative solutions and problem solving in collaboration with all vehicle engineering.
Produce the technical drawings necessary for the manufacturing of components and crates for our vehicles.
Do the follow up on the different phases of development including the prototype testing and the production starts.
Manage the list of materials by using SmarTeam and SAP
Ensure the communication between the different groups in the organization and the suppliers on technical items.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
D.E.C. in mechanical engineering, design concentration or equivalent.
General knowledge in materials (steel, aluminum, plastics, paints).
Skill in project management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and good enough english skills to communicate with partners outside Québec.
Knowledge of the CATIA application is an advantage.
Leadership and teamwork skills are essential.
