Your mission should you accept it:
Reporting to the Director of Estimating, the Senior Estimator plays a key role in cost evaluation and bid preparation for large-scale renewable energy projects, primarily in the solar and energy storage sectors. They analyze tender documents, assess risks, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, and actively contribute to the bid strategy to support Borea's growth.

- College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in estimating, ideally in the energy sector
- Bilingualism (French and English), both oral and written
- Strong interest in renewable energy and sustainable projects
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project; knowledge of Bid2Win (an asset)
- Analytical mind, thoroughness, and attention to detail
- Autonomy, versatility, and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
What you will do to complete this mission successfully:
- Analyze tender documents (plans, specifications, addenda, contractual conditions, etc.) and participate in developing the bidding strategy in collaboration with the estimation team
- Coordinate preliminary engineering with external consultants when required
- Analyze proposals received from suppliers and subcontractors and recommend the best options to create realistic and accurate estimates
- Develop a preliminary schedule
- Identify technical and contractueal risks and opportunities;
- Participate in the id closing and handover meetings with the construction team
