Your mission should you accept it:
Reporting to the Electrical Director, the Senior Electrical Estimator plays a key role in establishing costs and schedules for high-voltage substations and other electrical work required in major renewable energy projects across Canada. They actively contribute to the bidding strategy to support Borea's growth.

- Extensive experience in estimating and constructing high-voltage substations and electrical projects in heavy industry;
- College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other equivalent experience;
- Analytical and synthesizing skills, rigor, and attention to detail;
- Autonomy, versatility, and the ability to work under pressure;
- Bilingual (French and English), both oral and written;
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project.
What you will do to complete this mission successfully:
- Analyze tender documents (plans, specifications, addenda, contractual conditions, etc.) and participate in developing the bidding strategy in collaboration with the estimating team;
- Coordinate preliminary engineering with external consultants when required;
- Analyze proposals received from suppliers and subcontractors and recommend the best options to create realistic and accurate estimates;
- Develop a preliminary schedule;
- Identify technical and contractual risks and opportunities;
- Participate in the bid closing and handover meetings with the construction teams
