Your mission should you accept it:

The Project Controller tracks and controls the costs associated with the wind construction project, ensuring that the project is on budget and on time while optimizing financial resources. He/she will play a key role in the financial management of the project, working closely with project management teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to identify discrepancies, analyze trends, and propose corrective actions.

Do you have what it takes? Positive energy and... 

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical or construction engineering/college training or any other relevant experience. Specialization in project management an asset (PMP, MGP, MBA, etc.);
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in project control, ideally in the construction, renewable energy or complex industrial projects sector;
  • Experience in Cost Management, Schedule Management, Integration Management, Change Management,
  • Risk Management and Stakeholder Management as defined in the PMBOX;
  • Good command of project management tools (MS Project, P6, etc.) and accounting software (SAP, CMIC, etc.);
  • Advanced knowledge of the Excel tool and its data management features;
  • Knowledge of financial standards and regulations specific to infrastructure projects, particularly in the energy sector;
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide clear and concise reports;
  • Rigor, organization, analytical skills and good communication.

What you will do to complete this mission successfully:

  • Control and monitor detailed budgets for each phase of the wind construction project;
  • Manage the staff of accounting technicians who work directly under the guidance of the Cost Controller;
  • Monitor the evolution of expenses and analyze deviations from the provisional budget;
  • Identify financial risks and propose actions to mitigate them;
  • Collaborate with project management teams, engineers and suppliers to ensure accurate monitoring of costs and schedules;
  • Prepare monthly reports on the status of project costs and provide detailed analyses to management;
  • Implement cost management tools and methods adapted to the specificities of a wind construction project;
  • Track costs related to equipment acquisition, labour and external services;
  • Carry out short- and medium-term cost forecasts and adjust the forecasts according to the evolution of the project;
  • Participate in the preparation of financial audits and answer questions from auditors.
