Provides specialized wealth planning for High Net Worth (HNW) clients to help meet their long-term financial objectives. Supports the growth and retention of HNW client assets through specialized planning solutions that help to broaden the dialogue and enhance the client relationship.

• Develop and deliver comprehensive, customized financial plans addressing retirement, tax, estate planning and broader wealth planning objectives.
• Provide specialized planning advice on advanced strategies, including private corporations and holding companies, estate planning, and charitable planning etc.
• Partner with other planning professionals to provide clients with comprehensive wealth planning advice and solutions encompassing tax, succession planning, philanthropy, and estate and trust planning.
• Present planning recommendations to clients in a clear, structured, and professional manner.
• Protects the Bank’s assets by adhering to all banking and investment regulations, Bank policies and procedures, legal and ethical requirements and regulations, process requirements, and established risk guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Typically, between 5 - 9 years of relevant experience and a University. degree in relevant field of study.
• Financial planning experience.
• Professional designation(s) such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP).
• CPA Canada In depth Tax completion would be beneficial.
• Broad knowledge of financial institutions, services and products.
• Broad knowledge of investment management principles, economics and financial markets.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent collaboration & team skills.
• Able to manage ambiguity.

Please note the salary for this specific position in Vancouver is from $115,000.00 to $145,000.00. As this role contributes to the overall success of the Investment Advisors portfolio, you may be entitled to additional discretionary compensation

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
