This role is a Senior Technology Officer for several Corporate and Commercial Banking & Credit Risk Applications - including ABL, Built, Crowe (US and Canada) and DataScan. These customer facing applications are a mix of vendor SaaS products and in house hosted applications. This management role is responsible for application health, adoption, and innovation. It will involve strategically partnering up with Operations and the Lines of Business to build out application road maps.

  • Builds relationships with and works with stakeholders to understand the platform vision, align and deliver on the roadmap.

  • Be responsible for a team of both BA’s and Developers that work on technology projects. Team is responsible for the full SDLC cycle.

  • Analyzes platform data to drive and implement optimizations.

  • Undertakes prioritization of work of a component or group of components that are used by customers, the LOB and Operations.

  • Acts as an L3 support and escalation for all production issues.

  • Participates in yearly financial and project reviews.

  • Understands the competitive and strategic position of the organization, in order to deliver best-in-industry products.

  • Ensures compliance with service and support agreements and standards.

  • Work closely with the vendor management team and the vendor on SOWs and Master Agreements.

  • Have a great understanding of budgets and financials through working closely with PMs on clarity and forecasts.

  • Manages technical requirements e.g. APIs and other platform components with a focus on security and resilience to protect end-users.

Qualifications:

Advanced level of proficiency:

  • Typically 10+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficiency in any of the following applications - DataScan, ABL, LIQ, Crowe or Built applications.

  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge

    • System design and implementation.

    • Vendor management and best practices.

    • Contract negotiations.

    • Application programming interface (API) management.

    • some exposure in production support (3rd line)

    • disaster recovery testing

    • Product design.

    • Test driven development.

    • Devops.

    • Data collection and analysis.

    • Building and managing relationships.

    • Product management.

    • Value propositions.

    • Continuous improvement management.

    • Verbal & written communication skills.

    • Analytical and problem solving skills.

    • Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration.

    • Able to manage ambiguity.

Additional Job Description:

Strong preference:

  • Commercial Banking experience.

  • Experience in and of the following areas - Dealer Finance, Asset Based Lending, Commercial Real Estate and/or Commercial Lending.

Salary:

$94,600.00 - $176,000.00

Pay Type:

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
