This position is offered in a hybrid working model, with a minimum of three days per week in office required. The job may require limited off-hours work and performance of work under challenging deadlines. The successful candidate must be located in the Greater Toronto Area.

As a part of the Canadian Personal Banking Marketing team, you will be accountable for building strategy, development, flawless execution, and continuing improvement of mass media campaigns, tactics and plans that support the Canadian Everyday Banking portfolio, and more specifically growth of the BMO mass consumer market.

The Senior Marketing Manager, Customer Acquisition maintains strong and collaborative relationships with our Product, Customer Growth, and Agency partners to develop an understanding of the objectives and KPIs of the portfolio to produce effective and integrated marketing solutions. You will own, build, develop several Marketing workstreams, including but not limited to:

· Full funnel Marketing campaign strategy & execution

· EDB cross sell strategy & execution

· Bmo.com optimization

· Branch collateral/frontline marketing support

Responsibilities - here are some of the things you’ll be doing in this role:

Within the first 30 days, you’ll:

  • Cultivate and build relationships with your business and functional group partners including product, customer growth, legal and compliance, and other groups as needed, to successfully and sustainably grow our everyday banking customer base.
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of our current mass media landscape to understand our current state & begin strategizing performance improvement initiatives.
  • Track and analyze performance data to measure effectiveness and find opportunities for improvement.

Within the first 60 days, you’ll also:

  • Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  • Monitor progress against milestones and recommend and implement adjustments as necessary to meet business objectives.
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal/external partners to include vendors and suppliers.

By the end of your first 90 days, you’ll also:

  • Drive mass acquisition excellence, including integrated marketing acquisition campaigns, creative and collateral, and digital optimization opportunities.
  • Partner closely with customer growth, product and other partners to innovate our offerings and best position BMO to win vs. competitors.
  • Post mortem reporting & analysis
  • Manages end to end structuring of existing/new direct marketing campaigns from strategy, objectives, customer offer, marketing channels, sales & marketing, financial, technical & process requirements, and ensures integration with mass and local marketing initiatives.
  • Provides customer and environmental insights to influence business decisions.
  • Analyzes customer strategy effectiveness and recommends adjustments and reprioritization as appropriate.
  • Develop, manage and execute direct marketing strategy.
  • Ensures all marketing programs are developed and executed in accordance with internal policies, procedures and standards, and external legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Track, monitor and evaluate marketplace activities with respect to direct marketing and the business/group objectives, assessing impacts and making recommendations.
  • Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
  • Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying our Risk Management Framework in the execution of your role, in line with our Risk Culture and within our approved Risk Appetite, making sound and risk informed decisions that align to business strategy, protect assets, and adhere to applicable policy documents (Frameworks, Policies, Standards, Procedures and Supporting documents), laws and regulations.

    Qualifications:
  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, advertising or related field
  • MBA in Marketing/Business/Financial Services preferred.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

Salary:

$69,000.00 - $129,000.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
