The successful candidate will work as a Senior Manager, Technology in the Business Banking domain. The domain contains applications for internal BMO users to onboard, manage, service and portfolio manage BMO business customers. The position requires a technology leader working closely with Business Banking stakeholders and liaise with other technology domains and platforms to enable best in class development, support and delivery for our Business Banking requirements.

What are we looking for:

  • Leadership focus leading the technology teams for API development, Angular, DevOps, and Change Management. A futuristic thinker to introduce AI/ML in the current development, processes, and application use cases.

  • Lead technical resources of 20+ in support, operations, development, and QA.

  • Driving innovative, value streams with open communications and culture; promoting
    fit-for-purpose agile method while implementing control and governance to deliver
    modern solutions.

  • In charge of IT development in Java stack. Strategic focus on restructuring the team to
    promote application ownership with FTEs.

  • Technical owner of major IT modernization initiatives of cloud transformation and
    architecture improvement for scalability and efficiency.

  • Sound knowledge of application architecture to provide leadership guidance on impact and
    risk analysis.

  • Successful delivery of IT projects in the domains of Business Banking client onboarding,
    portfolio management, leads, compliance, operation efficiencies and managing BAU technology activities

  • Participation in internal IT audit; knowledge of SOC2 compliance.

  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.

Salary:

$94,600.00 - $176,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
