Senior EOL / Currency Manager - Job Summary
The Senior EOL/Currency Manager provides strategic leadership for enterprise IT end-of-life (EOL) and technology currency governance. This role drives proactive risk reduction, enables data‑driven decision making, and influences behavioral and operational change across technology and business partners. The position partners closely with IT, security, architecture, and business leaders to modernize processes, analytics, and capabilities in alignment with emerging technologies and organizational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Governance
- Lead and evolve the enterprise IT EOL/Currency governance strategy to reduce risk, increase resiliency, and support modernization goals
- Break down complex, strategic problems into actionable insights, recommendations, and solutions
- Identify and drive strategic opportunities to strengthen EOL, currency, and remediation processes across the organization
- Continuously assess emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory expectations and adapt responsibilities, controls, and processes accordingly
Business Requirements & Analytics
- Define and document business requirements for analytics, reporting, and data model changes related to EOL and technology currency
- Partner with technology and data teams to enhance reporting, dashboards, and insights that enable informed decision-making
- Ensure data integrity and alignment across systems supporting EOL and currency tracking
Communication & Change Leadership
- Lead the development of a comprehensive communication strategy that drives awareness, accountability, and behavior change
- Influence senior stakeholders and delivery teams through clear, compelling, and targeted messaging
- Facilitate forums, working sessions, and governance bodies to align priorities and resolve competing demands
Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to IT leadership, architecture, security, and delivery teams
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships to align remediation planning with business roadmaps and capacity
- Provide thought leadership and mentorship within the EOL/Currency and broader technology management community
Key Skills & Expertise
Technical & Domain Knowledge
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and application technologies, including emerging cloud and AI platforms
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow, including CMDB concepts, data relationships, and dependency management
- Deep knowledge of IT EOL and technology currency remediation planning, lifecycle management, and risk mitigation
Leadership & Communication
- Exceptional facilitation skills with the ability to drive alignment among diverse stakeholder groups
- Strong executive-level communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority and lead through change
Strategic & Analytical
- Strategic mindset with the ability to connect operational execution to long-term business outcomes
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and drive actionable insights

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
