The Corporate Sales & Structuring group is a high-performing team within Global Markets Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities (FICC), responsible for originating and executing hedging and financing transactions for BMO’s corporate and commercial clients. Working closely with investment, corporate, and commercial banking, the team serves as product experts across foreign exchange, interest rate and equity derivatives, structured finance, equity-linked securities, and commodities.MANDATEWe are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join the Corporate Sales & Structuring team as Director or Managing Director, focusing on the distribution of interest rate derivative solutions within Canada’s corporate client universe. This is a unique opportunity to shape the strategic direction of client engagement and drive growth in a critical business segment.
As a senior member of the team, you will:

A. Strategic Origination and Negotiation
- Lead high-level pitching activities with senior executives at corporate clients.
- Position BMO as a market leader in interest rate solutions through compelling thought leadership.
- Develop innovative trade ideas informed by macroeconomic, political, and market trends.
B. Client Relationship Leadership
- Expand and strengthen strategic relationships across the corporate client base.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, delivering insights and solutions that drive long-term value.
C. Pricing and Execution Excellence
- Oversee accurate pricing and execution of interest rate products, ensuring best-in-class service.
D. Structuring and Risk Advisory
- Provide strategic guidance on complex risk management challenges, supported by robust modeling and scenario analysis.
E. Internal Leadership and Collaboration
- Champion cross-functional collaboration with Investment Banking, Trading, Risk, and Operations.
- Actively contribute to team development and succession planning.
This is a high-visibility leadership role with direct impact on revenue generation, strategic growth initiatives, and client risk management. The successful candidate will influence the trajectory of BMO’s Global Markets franchise, driving innovation and delivering solutions that shape the financial strategies of Canada’s leading corporations.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS- 10+ years in Interest Rates or FX sales with deep expertise in Fixed Income markets.
- Proven ability to lead client relationships at the executive level.
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and mentoring capabilities.
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills; highly skilled in pricing and modeling derivatives.
- Post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Degree in Accounting/Economics/Mathematics/Statistics preferred
- Thorough knowledge of capital markets, pricing, and trading/hedging strategies and familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures.
- Strong understanding of trading procedures and broader regulatory and financial concepts.
- Strong quantitative analysis, technology and financial analysis skills.
- Strong risk management skills, fundamental analysis skills and leadership abilities.
- Seasoned expert with extensive industry knowledge.
- Technical leader viewed as a thought leader for innovation.

Preferred:

The salary is $175,000 CAD for the Director level and $225,000 CAD for the Managing Director level (subject to the candidate meeting the specific skills, experience, education, and qualification requirements).
You’re fluent in French and English as this role provides support to clients and team members inside and/or outside the province of Quebec.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
