We are looking for a Senior Software Developer / Tech Lead to join a well-established Quebec-based company making significant investments in the development of its own software product.

Are you an experienced developer who wants to keep coding while having greater influence on architecture, technical decisions, and team development? This opportunity could be a great fit.

You will work directly with the VP of Innovation & Architecture and provide technical leadership to a team of approximately 3 to 4 developers, while having a broader influence across the other development teams contributing to the product.

The product is being built entirely in-house and could eventually evolve into a commercial SaaS solution.

  • Provide technical leadership to a team of approximately 3 to 4 developers
  • Translate architectural direction into concrete technical solutions
  • Contribute to architecture, performance, and scalability decisions
  • Design and evolve APIs, services, and system integrations
  • Conduct code reviews and promote software development best practices
  • Mentor developers and support their technical growth
  • Improve DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing practices
  • Take ownership of development through production releases
  • Maintain clear and structured technical documentation
Profile
  • Fluent in French (Oral & Written)
  • Experience in software development in a Senior, Lead, or technical leadership role
  • Strong backend development and solution design skills
  • Good understanding of software architecture, APIs, and system integrations
  • Experience with one or more modern technologies: C#, .NET, Java, Python, Go, TypeScript, or equivalent
  • Experience with a cloud environment such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Good understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and production environments
  • Experience with mentoring, coaching, or technical leadership
  • Ability to remain hands-on while contributing to architectural decisions
  • Autonomous, curious, rigorous, and highly collaborative

Don't have experience with our current tech stack? No problem. We are primarily looking for an excellent software developer with strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly.

The current environment includes C#/.NET, Python, React, and Microsoft Azure, but expertise in any specific technology is not a requirement.

The ideal profile?

A strong developer with an architectural mindset who doesn't want to step away from coding.

You enjoy building products, solving complex problems, thinking long-term, and helping other developers grow. You're looking for greater autonomy and technical influence while remaining hands-on.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Permanent, full-time position (35 hours/week)

Why Join This Team?
  • Build and evolve a strategic software product developed entirely in-house
  • Keep coding while expanding your influence on software architecture
  • Provide technical leadership to a small team while having a broader impact across the organization
  • Work directly with a highly technical VP of Innovation & Architecture
  • Have a real influence on technology decisions and engineering practices
