This is a unique hybrid position that combines software development, technical analysis, incident management, and integration project coordination. You will work closely with developers, business stakeholders, brokers, insurance partners, and external technical teams.

We are looking for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues, working directly with partners, and contributing to the continuous improvement of business-critical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve integration-related incidents involving APIs, databases, and data exchanges
  • Perform root cause analysis using application logs, SQL queries, and technical diagnostics
  • Manage incidents according to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Monitor the health and performance of existing integrations and proactively identify potential issues
  • Collaborate with software developers to implement integration enhancements and production fixes
  • Participate in software development activities during periods without active incidents
  • Develop and maintain API integrations, connectors, and data transformation components
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, operational runbooks, and procedures
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment activities for new integrations
  • Communicate proactively with both internal stakeholders and external partners throughout incidents and projects

Profile

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in software development, technical analysis, application support, or systems integration
  • Strong PHP development experience with the ability to read, understand, troubleshoot, and maintain existing codebases
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft .NET environments and the ability to navigate existing applications
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including query analysis, troubleshooting, and data validation
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, API testing, integration troubleshooting, and diagnostics
  • Experience with SFTP protocols, structured file exchanges, and B2B integrations
  • Experience using Postman or similar API testing tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes quickly
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Professional fluency in both English and French, written and spoken

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience within insurance, financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience supporting legacy or proprietary business applications
  • Knowledge of enterprise system integration processes
  • Experience coordinating technical projects or integration initiatives
  • Familiarity with CodeIgniter, Blazor, or .NET Web APIs
  • Project management certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM are considered assets

  • Competitive base salary plus annual bonus
  • Primarily remote work environment with occasional office presence required for team meetings (1–2 times per month)
  • Comprehensive group insurance plan
  • Employer-matched RRSP program
  • Personal days and vacation package
  • And much more!

We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
