Blitz TI is recruiting an IT Infrastructure Manager – AWS to lead IT operations and oversee a seven-person team comprising IT technicians, systems and network administrators, and an IT supervisor.

This role combines technical team leadership, IT infrastructure management, and AWS cloud operations. We are looking for someone who enjoys organizing work, developing people, and improving services while staying involved in technical decisions. Your hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) will help you understand the team’s challenges, assess proposed solutions, and contribute to complex troubleshooting.

You will help modernize systems, improve IT service delivery, and strengthen infrastructure security and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical team, establish priorities, assess performance, and support professional development.
  • Oversee IT operations across servers, systems, networks, AWS cloud environments, and end-user devices.
  • Support the team in resolving complex incidents and provide hands-on technical assistance when needed.
  • Plan and deliver infrastructure modernization and improvement projects.
  • Improve deployment, administration, and technical support practices to reduce repetitive work.
  • Strengthen identity and access management, operational cybersecurity, and incident management processes.
  • Ensure effective backups, disaster recovery, and service continuity measures.
  • Monitor budgets and operating costs, including AWS spending, and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Coordinate with vendors and technical partners and follow up on their work.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation and procedures to support operations and audits.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in IT infrastructure, systems and network administration, or IT operations, with a solid understanding of production environments.
  • Recent hands-on AWS experience, including deploying or administering resources such as Amazon EC2 instances, with an understanding of cloud networking, access controls, and costs.
  • Experience managing or supervising technical employees, including work allocation, coaching, feedback, and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to assess solutions proposed by technical specialists and make decisions aligned with business needs.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and identity and access management principles.
  • Understanding of IT security, backups, and service continuity.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities with a collaborative, independent, and structured approach.
  • Fluency in both French and English is required to work with French- and English-speaking stakeholders across Canada and the United States.

Assets: familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint management and security tools, or ITIL practices; experience monitoring budgets and managing vendors.

Employment details

  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • Base salary of CAD $140,000–$160,000, with flexibility based on experience.
