Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment & Truck Mechanic to support our transport and quarry operations. This position focuses on the inspection, maintenance, and repair of tri-axle dump trucks, pup trailers, quarry loaders, and a variety of quarry-related and light-duty vehicles. Hands-on welding experience is a requirement for this role.
The ideal candidate is mechanically strong, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a quarry environment with a mixed fleet of on-road and off-road equipment.

YOUR MISSION
Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on:
- Tri-axle dump trucks and pup trailers
- Quarry loaders and mobile equipment
- Light-duty trucks and service vehicles
- Miscellaneous quarry and plant support equipment
- Inspect and service brakes, suspensions, steering, drivetrains, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Perform welding (repairs, reinforcement, fabrication)
- Cut, fabricate, and modify components as required for quarry operations
- Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues to minimize equipment downtime
- Complete work orders, service logs, and maintenance records
- Maintain tools, shop equipment, and a clean, safe work area
- Comply with all company safety policies and regulatory requirements
YOUR DNA
- Demonstrated experience working on heavy trucks, trailers, and/or heavy equipment
- Experience with tri-axle dump trucks and pup trailers
- Strong mechanical aptitude with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Welding experience required (MIG, stick; torch cutting an asset)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver’s license (DZ or AZ considered an asset)
- Comfortable working in a quarry / industrial environment
- Trade certification (310T, 421A, or equivalent) (preferred asset)
- Previous experience in quarry, aggregate, or construction operations (preferred asset)
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs (preferred asset)
- Fabrication or basic machining experience (preferred asset)
