The Business Analyst will play a key role in understanding business processes, analyzing stakeholder needs, and translating them into concrete BI solutions. They will serve as the interface between business teams and technical teams to design, document, and implement effective solutions tailored to organizational challenges.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, understand, and document existing processes and BI needs.
- Draft key functional and technical deliverables, including:
- Business requirements documents
- Business process reviews
- Data mappings, transformation rules (ETL), test plans, procedures, and documentation for solutions and data
- Detailed functional specifications
- Collaborate closely with IT teams to write technical specifications.
- Lead workshops with stakeholders, gather requirements, and follow up on decisions.
- Propose solutions to business problems based on a deep understanding of data.
- Model and formalize business processes.
- Participate in data analysis to support BI solution evolution.
- Manage the full lifecycle of requests, from requirements definition to implementation.
- Prioritize the functional backlog in coordination with the manager.
- Work with IT teams to resolve incidents and provide operational support.
- Actively contribute to BI initiative planning and continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Business Intelligence.
- 3 to 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in major BI projects.
- Strong knowledge of data warehouse modeling, ETL concepts, and Data Lake environments.
- Experience with the Microsoft ecosystem: SQL Server, SSIS, Power BI, Azure Data Factory.
- Familiarity with AWS SDLF framework and Snowflake.
- Understanding of DevOps and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Analytical mindset, autonomy, and initiative.
- Strong communication skills in both French and English (bilingualism required).
- Excellent interpersonal and teaching skills, with a strong solution-oriented approach.
