Job Summary

The Team
The Abbotsford Administrative Team is an established, multi-disciplinary group that supports a range of services including Child & Youth Mental Health, Child & Youth with Support Needs, Child Protection, and Youth Services. As part of a close-knit 6-person admin team, you’ll work collaboratively with Team Leaders, Social Workers, Clinicians, Directors, and community partners, contributing to inclusive, respectful, and culturally responsive support for children, youth, and families. This team is known for being compassionate, flexible, and supportive, valuing diversity and the meaningful impact their work has on both the community and one another.

The Role
In this Team Assistant - CYMH role, you will provide continuity of care to clients through in-person, phone, and email interactions, bringing empathy, respect, and cultural agility to every connection. Your work helps ensure access to a wide range of supports-from mental health services to financial assistance-by collaborating with community partners to remove barriers and create more equitable outcomes. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Certificate or coursework and 6 months related experience; OR
  • Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and 6 months related experience; OR
  • Evergreen and 1 year related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related Experience may include:

  • Six months experience working in a computerized environment using various computer applications and data bases. (For example: Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel, Outlook) for word processing, spread sheeting, data entry, email and video teleconferencing; and case management or other database applications.
  • Experience providing quality customer or client service, carrying out duties and responding to client needs in a professional manner.
  • Experience working independently and as a team member with a multi-disciplinary environment and with other professional staff, client, and service providers.

Preference May be Given to Applicants with:

  • Administrative experience working with vulnerable children and families in a human/social services setting.
  • Experience using MCFD applications: Integrated Case Management (ICM) and/or Management Information Systems (MIS) computer applications.
  • Consideration may be given for completion of an Administrative Business Skills course or program as experience equivalency.
