Court Services Branch is responsible for the delivery of all court administration services in BC. These consist of registry, trial support and Sheriff Services for all levels of court. The Registry provides infrastructure to support the justice system and processes documents that are required by the court to ensure timely and effective handling of court cases. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is interested in a rewarding career in the justice system. The successful candidate will take on the role of a Registry Clerk in a challenging, high volume, fast-paced work environment. As a Registry Clerk, you provide administrative support to the civil and/or criminal program in the processing of documentation required by the court system to accurately reflect court results. Highly organized and detail-oriented, you maintain the proprietary computerized case tracking system relied on by justice system stakeholders, perform data entry, filing and other related duties as directed. Your ability to use good judgment and display tact and diplomacy at all times is essential as you provide frontline public services to users of the court system. Job Requirements: Grade 12 graduation or equivalent (e.g. GED) Minimum one year of experience working in an office environment. Minimum one year of experience in keyboarding, data entry, word processing and standard computer applications. An equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training may be considered. Preference may be given to those with: Experience with JUSTIN and/or CEIS and CCD Experience or education in a related legal environment. Experience delivering customer service.
