Posting Title ADMN O 15R - Authorizations Coordinator Position Classification Administrative Officer R15 Union GEU Work Options Remote Location Multiple Locations, BC CA (Primary)Victoria, BC V9B 6X2 CA Salary Range $59,015.56 - $66,749.47 annually Close Date 5/10/2024 Job Type Regular Full Time Temporary End Date 3/31/2026 Ministry/Organization BC Public Service -> Env & Climate Change Strategy Ministry Branch / Division Conservation and Recreation Division, BC Parks Service Transformation Branch Job Summary Bring your expertise in organization and prioritization The Authorizations Coordinator is responsible for supporting administration of BC Parks authorizations, including tracking applications and enquiries, routing tasks among the BC Parks Regional Operations Branch staff, communicating standard messages externally, providing advice on permit administration, maintaining data standards, conducting detailed analyses, and assisting with authorizations projects. The position provides centralized expertise for BC Parks six regions across the Province on permit administration and assists with drafting of legal documents and other communications based on technical advice from authorization staff. As a part of a team, the Authorizations Coordinator contributes to the development of Park Act policies and procedures. Job Requirements: Post-secondary Diploma in the natural resource field, public administration or business administration, or other related field; Or, secondary school graduation (Grade 12) or equivalent AND 1 year of recent, relevant experience. Relevant experience must include the following: Experience interpreting and applying legislation, regulations and/or policies. Experience with business applications including report generation and data integrity. Experience handling multiple priorities concurrently. Experience in keyboarding, word processing, creating spreadsheets and working with standard computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following: Experience in natural resource authorizations or service contract administration. About this Position: Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved telework agreement.
