This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Calgary or Edmonton office.

What the day will look like

  • Reviews endorsements, cover notes and certificates of insurance to validate that they are accurate and complete as part of the team’s service plan;
  • Defines general coverage requirements and drafts marketing proposals for renewals and new business;
  • Receives quotations and processes documentation for modifications, inclusions, removals, and renewals of policies;
  • Co-ordinates information alongside the Associate Account Executive and underwriter to facilitate renewal process;
  • In collaboration with Associate Account Executive, co-ordinates and supports planning and marketing initiatives for Broker and Account Executive;
  • Receives applications, prepares quotations, calculates premiums, binds coverage and coordinates applicable documentation;
  • Reporting to the Broker, reviews policy documentation to ensure coverage requirements have been met;
  • Leads by example through illustrating and communicating with all lines of business the importance of standard processes; and
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Our ideal candidate brings some commercial risk experience. They will have excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a broad range of audiences.

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Insurance or a relevant field;
  • A self-motivated professional with a client-first mindset;
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment;
  • A problem-solver who can develop innovative solutions to meet client needs;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written;
  • Client focused with proven relationship building skills.
  • High business acumen and professional presentation skills.
  • General Insurance Level One (1) License is an asset
