Our Health Solutions business group within Aon is looking for a consultant to join their team of professionals in Ontario or Quebec.
The salary range for this position is {$ 68,000 - $ 97,900}. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

What the day will look like
- Create a project plan for each implementation and manage the execution of all tasks in order to achieve the project goals
- Manage changes to the project scope and project schedule using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, reflective of authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan, and facilitate customer acceptance
- Ensure a common understanding internally and externally by setting expectations in accordance with the project plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team members
- Serve as primary resource to client, client team, shared services, and supporting services in the application of business objectives and alternatives for service delivery
- Identify and define the client's needs/requirements; lead client requirement meetings
- Develop and update applicable requirement documents for plan provisions, extracts, administrative events, and delivery channels
- Participate in analysis reviews and discussions to ensure the provision requirements match the technical specifications
- Identify potential issues, gather relevant information, and work with client/third parties to resolve issues that arise
- Provide subject matter expertise and training to clients and internal teams
- Respond to client escalations regarding technical or process issues
How this opportunity is different
As a Consultant in our Health Solutions team, you will be supporting client teams in the servicing of clients with respect to plan design, contract management and benchmarking. Working with a team of analysts and senior team members you will be involved with a variety of client deliverables including but not limited to contract reviews, plan design summaries and prevalence benchmarking, addressing ad hoc client questions related to plan design, carriers and programs.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Five (5) plus years of direct group benefits experience in a contracts and client onboarding environment is required;
- Proven organization skills and the ability to effectively lead and coordinate the delivery of projects;
- Strong technical expertise and the proven ability to remain current with respect to industry trends, provincial and federal legislative policies and changes;
- Meticulous attention to detail;
- Bilingual (English, French) abilities would be considered an asset;
- Ability to multi-task, work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision;
- Ability to provide technical expertise and act as an effective mentor and coach and role model for practice members;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbally and written;
- Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package and Easy Project.
- Available for core hours 8:30am – 5pm EST (or equivalent).
