Senior Digital Experience Advisor

The Innovation and Digital Solutions (IDS) team at Health Shared Services (HSS) is committed to creating valuable and innovative digital experiences. We transform complex problems into digital solutions that are valuable to Albertans and staff members across all Provincial Health Agencies (PHA). HSS is looking for an experienced digital experience advisor for a temporary position. The senior digital experience advisor will be working on a project with the Pathway Unit at Primary Care Alberta. This program provides healthcare professionals with reliable, evidence-informed clinical, patient, and referral pathways for specialty care. The IDS team is leading the redesign to deliver a new, data-driven tool to enhance these referral and clinical pathways. To help make the program successful, digital tools and solutions are needed. The Senior Digital Experience advisor will be key in helping meet digital needs of the pathway unit. Collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, program lead, medical leads, and program manager are essential for a successful project. Senior digital experience advisors at HSS are excellent analytical and conceptual thinkers who translate user needs, business objectives and technology capabilities into innovative solutions. This position requires someone with a strong foundation in user-centered design methods focussed on information architecture and the ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders and colleagues.

Reporting to the director of Digital Experience, Innovation and Digital Solutions, the Senior Digital Experience Advisor will be involved in all aspects of the information architecture, wireframes, website design and prototypes to create, build and publish content and page layouts based on the needs of the pathway unit, using an enterprise level CMS including developing HTML and supporting CSS. This work will include research utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods, information architecture, conceptualization, storyboarding, detailed design, updating web content, building new pages, optimizing search and working with information technology, health literacy and allied health teams to bring designs to life that are engaging, accessible and responsive. Additionally, the Senior Digital Experience Advisor will align the project with business objectives, construct detailed work plans, achieve milestones, and communicate the results. Success depends on close collaboration and partnerships with end-users and subject matter experts as well as technology professionals to refine, define and improve the findability and accessibility of the information architecture.
