As a vital member of the Diagnostic Imaging team, you will be the welcoming face and essential support behind exceptional patient care: greeting and registering patients, coordinating electronic scheduling, performing accurate documentation and order entry, responding to inquiries, and working closely with technologists and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure seamless departmental flow. In this fast-paced role, your adaptability, professionalism, and enthusiasm for helping others will shine as you contribute directly to timely access and high-quality imaging services, with shift rotations that may include days, evenings, weekends, and on-call coverage to meet patient needs. This position may be required to provide clerical coverage at South Calgary Health Center MRI.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Medical Terminology Course or Unit Clerk Course required. Accurate and proficient keyboarding skills, 35 words per minute required. Absolute attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent knowledge of the English language both written and oral. Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional image, manage stressful situations with empathy and to remain calm, courteous, sensitive, and tactful. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Skilled at paying close attention to detail. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Able to prioritize work and cope with frequent interruptions. Must be able to work all shifts based on operational needs. Recent Diagnostic Imaging experience required. Previous electronic Diagnostic Imaging Scheduling experience preferred. Minimum 3 months recent experience in a hospital or medical environment, involved in booking, reception, and clerical duties preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in Windows (Word, Excel, Internet, and Email). Must be able to lift 10lbs. Must be able to work with dual monitors. Must be able to assist in patient transfers under the supervision of a healthcare professional when necessary.
