If you enjoy working as an Admin Support III in a fast-paced environment providing administrative and clerical support to a diverse team of health professionals, this position may be of interest to you. You will be working at or out of the Leduc Health Centre, providing main desk reception duties, including switchboard, wayfinding for clients, staff and visitors, receiving mail and deliveries, Well Child Clinic related client services, filing, photocopying and other assigned duties. You will report to the Operations Manager for Leduc Health Centre. This position includes work at the Leduc, Beaumont, Thorsby, and Devon Public Health Centres. Days, evenings and weekends are included in this shift rotation. The Admin Support III is required to pack, lift, move, and transport heavy and/or awkward supplies to various work sites. Service delivery may require walking several blocks and climbing several flights of stairs, awkward and repetitive movements, sitting, standing, and/or bending for long periods of time.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in direct client and family interactions required. Experience providing administrative support within an interdisciplinary healthcare team required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to manage confidential health information in accordance with ATIA, POPA, and PCA policy. Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, decision-making, and organizational skills required. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the last 5 years providing administrative support in a public or community health setting (e.g., Well Child Clinic, Healthy Beginnings, School Health) required; other direct client-facing community health programs may be considered. Recent experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) such as eClinician or Connect Care required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, internet, and data entry required. Ability to work independently in community-based settings with limited supervision, supporting clinical teams in documentation, scheduling, and coordination. Position requires mobility between sites within Leduc County, including lifting and transporting supplies (over 20 lbs.), walking several blocks, and climbing stairs. Ability to set up and take down clinic rooms required. Must be able to de-escalate conflict and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced, multi-sensory environment. May require occasional evening and weekend work.

Diploma or higher education in a related field preferred. Experience providing administrative support in maternal, child, or family health programs preferred. Knowledge and practical application of health promotion principles and the social determinants of health. Experience supporting diverse and marginalized populations across the lifespan an asset.
