The HIRM Clerk maintains the integrity of the health record through retrieving, preparing, scanning paper records to the Electronic Clinical Information System and auditing scanned records. The position responds to telephone requests for access and disclosure in accordance with department, zone and legislative requirements. Provides information to internal and external care providers on request. Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

As an Administrative Support II, you will require administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Medical Terminology Certificate or equivalent (testing will be conducted). Fluent in written and spoken English language. Accurate and proficient keyboarding skills of a minimum of 40 wpm required (testing will be conducted). Sitting/standing for long periods of time, stretching and reaching. Ability to carry up to 50 lbs.

MOA, Unit Clerk Course or equivalent. Experience in Patient Registration, Financial Records, and/or Telecommunication.
