YOUR ROLE

As Chief of Procurement and Purchasing you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of all procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics activities related to the operations. You will ensure the availability of parts, components, tools, equipment, goods, materials, and services required by all departments, including those supporting aircraft maintenance and flight operations, while optimizing costs, supply lead times, and overall operational performance. As Chief of Procurement and Purchasing You will oversee procurement, stores, and inventory functions to ensure compliance with aviation industry requirements, including parts traceability, quality standards, regulatory compliance, and aircraft safety. You will work closely with Maintenance, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Finance teams, actively contributing to the continuity and efficiency of air operations, as well as to the optimization of the organization's procurement and supply chain activities. You shall perform any other related duties as may be assigned.

Requested skills

DO YOU HAVE THE PROFILE?

  • College diploma or University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal academic qualifications;
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain management, preferably within the aviation industry;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supervising and managing teams in an operational environment;
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and software; experience with the WinAir system is considered an asset;
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management;
  • Experience managing a diverse range of procurement activities supporting multiple departments or operational sectors within an organization is considered an asset;
  • Experience in the aviation industry is considered an asset;
  • Bilingual (French and English). Proficiency in English is required daily to communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders located at other stations and operational bases;
  • Knowledge of the Cree language is considered an asset.
