THE ROLE:

We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivated DFx Design Verification Engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The Verification Engineering team furthers and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.

THE PERSON:

You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/time zones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and maintain tests for functional and performance verification at the core level
Build and enhance testbench components to support next-generation SoC designs
Maintain and improve test libraries to support SoC-level verification
Create hardware emulation builds to verify SoC functionality and performance
Improve the existing hardware emulation environment to reduce runtime and enhance debugging capabilities
Collaborate with and provide technical support to cross-functional teams

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Strong programming skills in C/C++
Proficiency with SystemVerilog/Verilog
Experience with Python or Perl scripting is a plus
Background or experience in computing or graphics domains is a plus
Prior experience wtih DFx (Design for Test, Design for Debug, etc.) methodologies and verification is a strong advantage
Strong communication, problem solving, and team player skills

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
