Under the supervision of the mechanic foreman, the Drill Repair Technician performs mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair work on the surface production drills and other heavy equipment in our clients’ facilities in Nunavut, Ontario or Western Canada.


Duties:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and component replacement;
  • Conduct inspections to identify any potential issues or malfunctions;
  • Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings;
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete repairs;
  • Operate heavy machinery such as cranes, forklifts, and aerial work platforms;
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations;
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.

Requested skills

  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and aptitude as a drill repair technician.
  • Experience with surface production drills maintenance service, inspection, and repairs.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
