About the apprenticeship:
• An “earn and learn” program providing:
o Salary, training, and real-world experience
o Coaching to build skills at the entry-level position and advance your career
• A full-time, yearlong position with an opportunity to be retained at the end of the program
• Focused on candidates:
o With a high-school diploma/ equivalent or an associates degree (without a bachelors degree)
o Reskillers seeking to enter an industry unrelated to their current or previous work experience
The work:
• Develop technology solutions that make a difference to business, society, and the environment
• Join a diverse and inclusive team, filled with different Accenture teammates from around the world
• Learn programming skills to build portions of applications that solve our client's business and IT challenges
• Actively work in delivering large IT solutions to clients on time and within budget
• Learn about every stage of the Service Delivery Lifecycle -- from new system rollouts to enhancements to ongoing maintenance of applications
• Closely analyze and test any new components or enhancements to existing IT modules • Talk with team members to design solutions that meet end users’ needs and technical requirements
• Roll up your sleeves and work on all aspects of programming:
o Define, design and deliver new applications with your teammates.
o Write the programing code that brings new apps to life.
o Develop the system details and interfaces
o Fix any bugs that creep into any old or new code.
o Make sure critical systems continue running for our clients by maintaining the software code
o Analyze basic tech issues and stop the damage
o Keep well-written records describing how the software works, any special configurations, and how to troubleshoot
o Support implementation of new technologies, ensuring a successful transition to what’s new
Here's what you need:
• High school diploma or equivalent
Bonus points if you:
• Have a strong track record of good grades
• Have knowledge of CompTIA A+
• Can look at problems both analytically and creatively
• Feel comfortable speaking up and sharing your thoughts in person and in writing
• Are curious about business and technology and want to constantly learn
• Have experience being on a team -- at school, at another job, or in the military
• Have exposure to a minimum of one programming language (e.g., Java, Javascript, C, C++, C#, SQL, Python, etc.)
• Can use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Exposure to advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, v-look ups, macros
